Applications are invited (on plain paper) from eminent scholars/retired professors on the following terms and conditions for appointment of Chairpersons established in Himachal Pradesh University. Applications, along with a copy of the curriculum vitae and relevant supporting documents, should reach the office of the Assistant Registrar, Recruitment Branch, Himachal Pradesh University, Summer Hill, Shimla-171005 on or before 6 October, 2021 (by 05:00 PM).
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Scholar of eminence with at least 10 years' experience as Professor/Reader in a University/Institute. Or eminent scholars who have distinguished themselves in their field of interest and are also relevant to the field of chairs.
SALARY & PAY SCALE:
(a) In case of direct recruitment, their pay shall be fixed in the pay scale of Professor.
(b) in the case of a retired professor, a consolidated pay of Rs. 40,000/- per month plus pension.
PERIOD/TENURE OF APPOINTMENT:
The appointee will hold the post for a period of three years. This period may be extended for a further period of two years depending upon the progress of the incumbent or at the discretion of the University, but not exceeding 70 years.
AGE LIMITS:
The maximum age up to which a person can hold this post is 70 (seventy years). The age of the candidate will be calculated as on 01.10.2021
